To the manor came we

Atop a little hillock in Richmond Upon Thames is a house with a garden. It is a brick house with sash windows built in 1710. Halford House is a Queen Anne manor house which has been classified as a Grade II ancient monument. It was acquired in 1954 for the princely sum of four hundred and fifty pounds by the Christian Fellowship, a small group of young adults with not much to their name. The asking price had been two thousand pounds. But God provided a place of worship for them. It was derelict when they took it over and the young church undertook the restoration of the building. Truly the house that God built.

To this lovely manor we came on that bright sunny Thursday for our five-day sojourn in fair England.
